About Me
The story, passion and art of SGBerryart
Hello, I'm Steffi!
My name is Stefanie Geicke, but everyone calls me Steffi. My artistic project is called SGBerryart.
In 2004 I earned my art diploma at an art school in Germany. Two years later, in 2006, I moved to the Canary Islands, where I still live today. I am largely self-taught: my artistic training continued through years of practice and experimentation.
In 2020 I studied photography, in 2024 comics and caricature, and in 2025 I deepened my painting studies. My favourite techniques are watercolour, oil and acrylic.
My passion for the tropical nature of the Canaries is reflected in every work: vibrant parrots, lush banana groves and exotic wildlife come alive on canvas.
I work from home and travel to clients for belly painting sessions. For pregnancy body painting I come directly to you!
Moments of Creativity
Colour as Vital Energy
I believe that colour is nourishment for the soul. In an often grey and hectic world, my works aim to be windows onto vibrant, living worlds, full of natural light. I don't seek photographic realism, but the emotional essence of subjects: the majesty of a banana leaf, the elegance of a parrot in flight, the sweetness of a moment like pregnancy. Every brushstroke is a gesture of gratitude towards nature and the beauty that surrounds us.

How I Paint
Watercolour
Transparencies, shading and plays of light on fine 300g paper. The perfect technique for capturing the lightness of nature.
Oil on Canvas
Depth, texture and vibrant colours. Perfect for large-format works and realistic details.
Acrylic
Vivid and versatile colours on canvas. Ideal for modern compositions, vibrant still lifes and naturalistic subjects.
